Unlike regular verbs, \u2018K\u0101da and its sisters\u2019 (\u0643\u0627\u062f \u0648\u064e\u0623\u064e\u062e\u064e\u0648\u0627\u062a\u064f\u0647\u0627) are termed as semi-verbs (\u0623\u064e\u0641\u0652\u0639\u0627\u0644 \u0646\u0627\u0642\u0650\u0635\u0629) since they do not possess an agent\/doer (\u0641\u0627\u0639\u0650\u0644) in their sentence<\/strong>. The verb K\u0101da (\u0643\u0627\u062f\u064e) originally means \u2018to be about to\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly to \u2018K\u0101na and its sisters’<\/a>, ‘K\u0101da and its sisters’ can appear in both \u0627\u0644\u0645\u0627\u0636\u064a and \u0627\u0644\u0645\u0636\u0627\u0631\u0639, just like regular verbs. They also also initiate a nominal sentence (\u062c\u064f\u0645\u0652\u0644\u0629 \u0627\u0650\u0633\u0652\u0645\u064a\u0629)<\/a><\/strong> which causes the subject (\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0628\u062a\u062f\u0623) to become \u0627\u0633\u0645 \u0643\u0627\u062f\u064e (noun of K\u0101da) and the predicate (\u0627\u0644\u062e\u0628\u0631) to become \u062e\u064e\u0628\u064e\u0631 \u0643\u0627\u062f\u064e (predicate of K\u0101da).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

K\u0101da and sisters’ predicate (\u062e\u064e\u0628\u064e\u0631 \u0643\u0627\u062f\u064e) <\/strong>should be formulated as a verbal sentence, where the verb is in the imperfect tense (\u0627\u0644\u0645\u064f\u0636\u0627\u0631\u0650\u0639). The verb will sometimes be preceded by the subjunctive particle \u0623\u0646\u0652<\/a> (equivalent to ‘to’ of English infinitive), consequently making it subjunctive. Despite seeming like it starts with a verb, their sentence structure is actually nominal, with the subject (\u0627\u0644\u0645\u064f\u0628\u0652\u062a\u064e\u062f\u0623) being either an implicit pronoun<\/a> or a noun explicitly following \u2018K\u0101da and its sisters\u2019.
