Consonant pointing are points belonging to the different Arabic <a href=\"https:\/\/arabikey.com\/arabic-alphabet\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"2576\">letters<\/a>, it is for example what will help us recognize letter <em>\u1e63\u0101d<\/em> \u0635 from the letter <em>\u1e0d\u0101d<\/em> \u0636. On the other hand\u00a0<em>tashk\u012bl<\/em>\u00a0provides phonetic information about how a word should be pronounced. For example letter d\u0101l \u27e8\u062f\u27e9 which represents the consonant \u201cd\u201d makes the sound \/<strong>di<\/strong>\/ written \u27e8\u062f\u0650\u27e9 with the&nbsp;<em>kasra.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In comparison, the letter y\u0101\u2019 represents a longer \/\u012b\/ sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The word kasra refers to something being broken. It conveys the idea that it takes down a word, or almost breaks it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Example<\/span>:&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>\u0633\u0650\u062c\u0652\u0646&nbsp;\/sijn\/&nbsp;<em><strong>\u2192<\/strong><\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;prison<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Note<\/span><\/strong>: the\u00a0<strong><em>\u1e25arak\u0101t<\/em><\/strong>, or \u2018motions\u2019, are the diacritical marks that represent short vowels. It signifies that the consonant it is attached to does not have a vowel following it, i.e., there is no vowel sound.
