Kiyan-Mehdi

My journey

My name is Kiyan-Mehdi, and I am a certified Arabic teacher in France.

I first discovered Arabic at university before continuing my studies through to a Master’s degree, which included a research stay in Tunisia. I later obtained my teaching certification in Arabic, allowing me to teach the language in French public schools and at university level.

My experience

Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of learners, including middle school and university students, as well as adults self learners. This experience has allowed me to identify the difficulties that most learners encounter when they begin learning Arabic.

Why I created ArabiKey

I created ArabiKey to address a simple need: making Arabic more accessible to learners. What began as a basic online Arabic keyboard gradually developed into a platform bringing together tools, educational resources, and content for learners around the world. This experience later enabled me to develop a structured Arabic course for French-speaking beginners.

Today, ArabiKey is used by thousands of visitors each month, to write in Arabic, access grammar resources, or deepen their knowledge of the language. ArabiKey’s Arabic keyboard and Arabic grammar courses have been referenced by universities and academic libraries worldwide such as NYU, UC Berkley, Brown University, Georgetown University and the American University of Beirut.

My mission

My objective through this website remains unchanged: to provide useful tools, clear explanations, and high-quality resources to help people improve their Arabic, whatever their starting level.
